Double 11 last minute checklist: the final 14 days

From October 28, leave prices and mechanics alone. Tmall closed spot-goods sign-up on October 19. Douyin measures every price against its lowest since August 31, so a cut now sets your ceiling and a rise reads as a fake discount. Spend the last fourteen days on stock, shipping clocks, customer service and one reallocation call on November 4.

This Double 11 last minute checklist runs from Wednesday, October 28 to Wednesday, November 11, 2026, one line a day. Each line has one task, one owner and the point after which it can’t change. Where a platform sets that point, the table uses the platform’s date. Where none does, the cut-off is ours: the last day a change can still be checked before the peak traffic arrives.

Cross-border stores sell inside their parent platform’s calendar: Tmall Global on Tmall’s, JD Worldwide on JD’s, and Douyin’s Global Shop (全球购) merchants under Douyin’s rule.

Your price is already set

The expensive mistakes in the last two weeks start with one instinct. A product sells slowly, so somebody cuts the price. Or it sells fast, so somebody nudges it up. Platform rules written in September now cover both moves.

Douyin wrote its rule down in full.

In practice, a cut on October 30 becomes the new floor. You can register more goods after it, but never above it, and the period runs to the last minute of the sale. The same rule bans raising a price ahead of a promotion, and it asks merchants to keep a product’s specification, style, price and stock information stable for the length of the event, with no casual delisting or edits.

The merchant also pays for Douyin’s headline mechanic.

On a 300 RMB product, that is 45 RMB a unit out of your margin, on every order the mechanic touches.

WeChat Store’s check runs longest. Its reference period covers September 4 to November 15, four days past the eleventh, and it bans the same raise-then-cut move.

Under the platform rules sits the regulator. China’s promotion rules have set a default base for a discount since 2020, and the look-back window is short.

Here is where each platform stands on October 28. It answers most of what head office will ask this week.

JD is the odd one. It asks for no sign-up at all.

So on JD the price is the mechanic. Cut it, and shoppers who bought earlier can claim the difference for as long as their price protection runs.

Stock and the shipping clock

Tmall’s event rules put a timer on every order.

Forty-eight hours is easy in July. It is harder when the whole country ships at once.

Bonded stock queues as well, and Ningbo’s forecast alone runs to eight figures.

So the warehouse confirms its peak-day throughput on November 5, in writing: parcels per hour, and the headcount on each night shift.

Then there’s the quota. Cross-border retail import caps a single transaction.

A last-week gift set that stacks three hero SKUs can cross that line, and the order fails at clearance on the busiest night of the year. Check every bundle on November 1, while there is time to rebuild one.

And don’t dump stock on the final night to clear the warehouse. The math runs the other way.

Three months of storage, enough to carry a unit from November 11 past Chinese New Year on February 6, 2027, costs 2.4 RMB. One return costs as much as storing a unit for more than three years. November 4 and the final week

The reallocation call is the one meeting in this window that changes money. Week-two sell-through tells you which SKUs are real. Move stock and budget toward them while the warehouse can still act, because the platforms are about to stack their peaks on top of each other.

The freeze sits on November 6 for that reason. It is the last evening before Douyin puts its traffic behind the final phase. From the seventh, the only levers left are stock and bids, and one person (the decision owner, named in writing) pulls them.

After the eleventh

The returns work runs well past the sale. The sale doesn’t stop at midnight everywhere. Tmall sells to November 13, WeChat Store and Kuaishou’s encore to November 15. Keep the war room on the platforms still selling, and keep the returns desk staffed after the others close.

Returns have their own clock.

Bonded returns carry a second one, and this one costs tax.

Count it from your busiest release. An order cleared on November 11 has to be filed by December 11 and back at the original customs site by December 26. Put both dates on the returns desk’s wall now.

Questions we get asked

Can we still change our Double 11 price after October 28?

You can cut it, but the cut becomes your ceiling. Douyin’s check runs to November 11 and WeChat Store’s to November 15, and both ban raise-then-cut. On JD a cut can trigger price-protection claims from earlier buyers. Tmall’s sign-up closed October 19. Treat October 28 as the last day you touch price.

Is it too late to join Double 11 on Douyin?

Not formally. Douyin’s registration stays open until 23:59:59 on November 11. The catch is the price: a product can’t register above the lowest list price it has carried since August 31, and if it joins the 立减折扣 mechanic, the merchant funds a 15% cut. Run the margin at that price before you register.

When does Double 11 2026 actually end?

It depends on the platform. Douyin’s sale ends at 23:59:59 on November 11. Tmall sells spot goods until 23:59 on November 13. WeChat Store and Kuaishou’s encore window run to November 15. Plan staff and stock for the platform that closes last.
