Global assets production, pixel perfect

JAC was launching a new EV through partners and resellers around the world, and every one of them needed the same pictures. We planned, shot, and retouched more than 250 of them.

The brief One car, every market

Every partner needed the same car

JAC is a Chinese automaker with a growing electric lineup. It sells through its own channels and through an international network of partners, resellers, and affiliates.

For a global EV launch, all of them had to pull from one library of high-quality images.

Global asset production is unforgiving. The same frame gets cropped, resized, and dropped into systems we’d never see. The car still has to look identical every time.

Where one photo had to hold up

  • Dealer sites
  • Configurators
  • Print
  • Social
  • Regional campaigns

In every market, at every resolution, inside partner systems that all work differently.

Before the shoot Art direction

We planned the pictures before anyone set up a light

We ran the job as a design project first and a photo shoot second. The art direction was settled up front and matched to the product story partners would tell about the car.

How the job ran

  1. Before the shoot

    Art direction, signed off first

We set the angles and the look before the first setup. Every shot on the floor went back to that plan.

  2. On set

    Controlled light and staging

Lighting and staging stayed tightly controlled from one setup to the next, for exterior, interior, and detail shots alike.

  3. In post

    Retouching for consistency

Then came a long round of post-production. Its job was consistency across the whole collection, frame to frame.

  4. Handover

    Files organized for partners

We structured the delivery around how global partners actually use assets, so each one could plug the images into its own systems.

The coverage Outside and in

Outside, inside, and up close

The library covers the whole car, outside and in, down to the small details a dealer might zoom in on.

Two frames from the library: a full side profile and the cabin.

Exterior hero angles

The full vehicle, lit and staged the same way from every side.

Interior detailing

The cabin, seats, and dashboard, shot to the same standard as the outside.

Craftsmanship close-ups

Tight shots of the details partners want to point at.

Delivered The library

One library the whole network can draw from

The finished set gave JAC a single source of truth for the launch. Partners and resellers in any market can use the images as delivered, without extra rework country by country.

What carries over

Write the art direction first

When the look is fixed before the shoot, 250 frames can follow the same rules. Consistency is much harder to fix in post.

Give post-production real time

Retouching is where a big set turns into one collection. It deserves its own line in the plan.

Deliver for the person downstream

A dealer site, a configurator, and a print shop want different things. Structure the handover around them.

Services delivered

About the data: the image count and coverage come from the project delivery to JAC. This case doesn’t cover budgets or commercial terms.
