DaVinci Gourmet, by Kerry达芬奇果美

eCommerce for DaVinci Gourmet syrups, sauces and smoothies

Two flagship stores that needed rebuilding, prices that didn’t match across channels, and fake listings eating into sales. We fixed pricing in 3 months, ended the fraud in 6, and online revenue grew in year one.

Year one

online revenue in China grew significantly

Day one The takeover

Two stores to rebuild while the channels fought

DaVinci Gourmet, part of Kerry Group, sells syrups, sauces, and smoothie bases to cafes, bars, and foodservice operators around the world. In China it needed stores that sold to the trade and to consumers, alongside its distributors.

What we inherited

Prices that didn’t match

Online and distributor prices pulled against each other. The channels were competing with their own brand.

Counterfeit listings

Fake products on the platforms were taking volume that should have gone to the official stores.

Third-party fraud

Fraudulent sellers were wearing down trust in the brand.

No clear brand on the shelf

The Tmall and JD storefronts lacked a coherent look. Professional buyers struggled to find the right product fast.

The rebuilt Tmall flagship

A refreshed visual identity, tuned for the baristas and foodservice buyers who shop here. The homepage sends them straight to syrups, sauces, and the rest of the range.

What we ran, end to end

  • Sales operations
  • Marketing
  • Media buying
  • Customer service

Both stores, Tmall and JD, ran under one team.

3 months Pricing

One price story, online and off

We lined up pricing across Tmall and the distributor network. The point was simple: online and offline sales had to stop undercutting each other.

Within three months, the pricing disputes between channels were resolved.

3 months

Online and offline stopped working against each other.

6 months Fraud and fakes

Clearing out the fakes

A separate workstream handled the counterfeit and fraud problem. It ran through platform enforcement and steady listing hygiene.

Sales fraud was gone within six months. Counterfeit listings came off Tmall.

How the cleanup ran

  1. Enforcement

    Report and remove

We used the platforms’ own enforcement tools against counterfeit and fraudulent sellers.

  2. Hygiene

    Keep the listings clean

We kept the official listings accurate and consistent, week after week.

  3. Within 6 months

    Fraud eliminated

Sales fraud stopped, and counterfeit listings were removed from Tmall.

Year one Results

Revenue grew in year one

While the cleanup ran, campaigns and livestreams kept people trying the syrups, sauces, and smoothie lines. By the end of the first year, online revenue in China had grown significantly.

What carries over

Fix the price before the ads

Media spend can’t help much while your own channels undercut each other. Pricing came first here.

Treat fakes as a workstream

Counterfeit cleanup needs its own owner and steady attention. It ran alongside everything else for months.

Build for the people behind the bar

Professional buyers want the right syrup fast. The rebuilt stores put the range where baristas look for it.
