The practice Starting point

Good care, hidden behind a dated site

SohoMD is a US telepsychiatry and teletherapy provider. It treats depression, anxiety and attention deficit disorder, and patients reach licensed clinicians fast on mobile or the web, with secure provider communication built in.

The website hadn’t kept up with the care. It looked dated, search visibility was limited, and paid ads weren’t pulling their weight yet.

The brief asked for more patient leads, and a brand that matched the care on the other side of the screen.

Where the practice was stuck

A dated website

The site didn’t reflect the quality of the clinicians behind it.

Limited search visibility

People looking for help online had a hard time finding SohoMD.

Ads that underdelivered

Paid acquisition was running, but it wasn’t yet a reliable source of leads.

Friction at intake

For someone reaching out about their mental health, every extra step is a reason to stop.

The brand Design and site

A calmer look, and an easier way in

We refreshed the visual assets, redesigned the website and kept managing it after launch. The direction was simple layouts and a calming color system that fits a wellness practice.

The design direction

  • Simple pages
  • Modern layout
  • Calming color
  • Fewer steps to intake

The color system was chosen to reflect the platform’s wellness mission.

Lessons Takeaways

For a care brand, the website is the waiting room

What carries over

Design for someone having a bad day

Calm colors and short forms matter more when the visitor is anxious.

Run paid and organic as one

Planned apart, the ads can end up paying for traffic SEO would have brought in anyway.

Pick keywords like a patient

People search for the condition they live with. That’s where both channels aimed.

About the data: the 150-keyword program and the six-month goal of doubling Google organic traffic come from the project scope. Before-and-after traffic counts aren’t reported here. This case doesn’t cover budgets or commercial terms.
